With Movielink, you're able to download feature-length movies from the Internet and watch them on your PC. The service offers hundreds of films, from 1988's "The Accidental Tourist" to 2002's "We Were Soldiers." A joint venture from five movie studios -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal and Warner Bros -- Movielink bills itself as an "online movie rental service," and the name is apt.

Just like the mag, you'll get the behind-the-scenes scoop from the current box office hits and interviews with the stars, along with message boards and a slew of other features.

Discovery.com features daily tidbits and articles, online program guides, and an extensive archive of past features and stories. That's the norm for TV sites, of course, but Discovery.com makes its mark with interactive storytelling delving into exploration, science, and beyond. Elucidating, but entertaining, too.

If you're looking for something different, with original material -- and lots of it -- then head to PBS Online. As you might expect, it's not your typical spot for promoting TV shows. At PBS Online, the various sites, like those for "In Search of the Oregon Trail" and "Thomas Jefferson," offer materials for education and entertainment -- interview transcripts, quizzes, and guides for teachers and students. Yes, you can actually learn something from a TV-related Web site.
