The Day of Epiphan for Christians happens 12 days after Christmas. The King Cake tradition, requires that you bake a cake and put a little figurine of a baby (christ child), The person who eats that piece is suppose to host next years festival. January 6 is the Twelfth Night after Christmas and the start of the Mardi Gras in New Orleans and the baking of the King Cake. What a lovely custom people of New Orleans hold they are truly a part of "The American Way" of life. Visit Mardi Gras website and find out more.
